Dick's Sporting Goods EDI Requirements
Dick’s Sporting Goods suppliers use these label types when sending shipments:
Single SKU Label for PO with Release #
Mixed SKU Label for PO with Release #
The ASN (Advance Shipping notice) will have extensive information about the items that are being shipped, the packing of the items, and how they are being transported. For example, numeric gross weight, SCAC code, shipment ID, PRO number, shipped date, and shipped time as well as information directly from the purchase order is included.
Dick’s Sporting Goods uses the SOPI and SOIP format for ASN’s. SOPI is used for shipments when more than one SKU (Shop Keeping Unit) is packed within a container and SOIP is used for shipments that have only one SKU within a container.
An SOPI ( Shipment, Order, Pack (carton) and Item) ASN is also known as “Pick and Pack” because more than one SKU can be picked from the supplier’s shelves and packed into the same container.
SOIP (Shipment, Order, Item and Pack) is commonly called “Standard Pack” because it allows for only one SKU to be packed into any one container.
Dick’s Sporting Goods uses several variations of SOPI and SOIP ASN’s. Here are some examples:
Identical SKU’sare packed within the container
Different SKU’s are packed within the container
