HSN EDI Compliance
Home Shopping Network was launched in 1982 and operates as an American broadcast television network owned by HSN, Inc. The network is available on the Dish Network, DirecTV, Solar TV, and most cable providers.
EDI documents are transmitted over a connection protocol called FTP (File Transfer Protocol). Below are the EDI document types and labels that are required by HSN and have been fully verified by CovalentWorks for accurate compliance with HSN’s EDI qualifications.
HSN EDI Requirements
The ASN (Advance Shipping Notice) will contain comprehensive information about the packing of the products that are being sent to HSN and as well as transportation information. For example, the carrier reference number, seller invoice number, shipped date, and amount to be billed will be included in addition to data that comes from the purchase order.
HSN uses the SI format for ASN’s. SI stands for Shipment and item. This packing structure will result in an ASN document that has one shipping level, which contains within it one item level for each unique item (distinct part number) contained within the shipment. The quantities specified for each of the items will be the total quantity of that item in the delivery.
