Von Maur EDI Compliance
Von Maur was established in 1982 as a private department store and competes with other mid-scale stores such as Dillard’s, Lord & Taylor and Macy’s. The company has over 30 stores in 14 states across the U.S. Von Maur is well known for offering free online and in store shipping, free online returns and a live pianists who performs for the customers daily. Von Maur’s products include clothing, footwear, jewelry, handbags and beauty products.
EDI documents are communicated using the encrypted protocol a VAN (Value Added Network). The following EDI document types and labels are necessary by Von Maur and have been completely tested by CovalentWorks for precise compliance with Von Maur’s EDI qualifications.
Von Maur EDI Requirements
The ASN (Advance Shipping Notice) contains detailed information about the products that are being sent to Von Maur and as well as transportation information. For example, the numeric gross weight, SCAC code, carrier name, Bill of Lading and shipped date will be included in addition to data that comes from the purchase order.
Von Maur uses the SOPI format for ASN’s. An SOPI (Shipment, Order, Pack (carton) and Item) ASN is also known as “Pick and Pack” because more than one type of item can be picked from the supplier’s shelves and packed into the same carton.
